Man sentenced to 2 decades in prison for role in deadly Minneapolis shooting in 2025

A Columbia Heights man will spend 20 years in prison for his role in a deadly shooting in Minneapolis in 2025. Raphael Joseph Rodriguez, 37, was convicted on one count of aiding an offender after the fact and one count of aiding an offender to avoid arrest following a joint trial with the other two defendants, Jose Vazquez-Rodriguez and Victor Vasquez-Rodriguez. Raphael Rodriguez was acquitted on a second-degree aiding and abetting murder charge. According to a criminal complaint, video of the shooting shows two men, identified as Jose Vazquez-Rodriguez and Raphael Rodriguez, walking on the sidewalk when a silver sedan pulls up alongside them. The driver, Vi
