Minneapolis police will hold a press conference Thursday to provide details about a carjacking arrest in which an officer reportedly fired their gun. Police said officers were called to a reported carjacking near the intersection of 31st Street West and Grand Avenue South. While attempting to arrest a suspect, a Minneapolis police officer reportedly fired their gun, though no one was injured as a result. At a press conference Thursday, Minneapolis Public Information Officer Garrett Parten provided more details regarding what happened. Parten said the incident began at 4:45 p.m. near West 31st Street and Pilsbury Avenue, where a person with a firearm attempted to carjack a vehicle, causing the driver to drive away. Afterward, the suspect allegedly carjacked another vehicle instead, fleeing the area in the stolen car. Minneapolis Police were given a description of the suspect and the stolen vehicle and began tracking it using city cameras. Officer Parten said the su
